Hey! I'm Cate!
I'm an eighth-generation Texan, but I now call DC home. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from American University with degrees in Musical Theater and Communication Studies. Today I perform, but I also teach and choreograph. Ask me about my dog (the love of my life), cooking, or my attempt at TikTok fame.

Some fun facts about me.
- I went to an all girl's school for 13 years
- Murphy beds terrify me
- I'm trying to read 50 books this year
- I recently joined the Artistic Council at The Puppet Company

Performance work.

Cate knew she would be involved in performance from a very young age. As early as 5 years old Cate started to steal scenes when she began dancing in the aisles during a performance of Can-Can.

At American, Cate focused on a degree in Musical Theatre but also focused on performances where all theatrical elements work in tandem. She took a variety of classes to keep her toolbox as full as possible, including physical theater, Shakespeare, and object theater.

Today Cate works all over the DMV, mostly in children's theater. Through children's theater, she's learned new skills like puppeteering. While she loves children's theater, she's also itching to do more work for an adult audience.

Choreography work.

Though new to the world of choreography, Cate has already made a name for herself in educational theater. Cate has worked with children in Pre-K all the way up to the collegiate level.
You can check out more on her choreography page.

Current/Upcoming Performances

Theater Prometheus
Galatea

If a boy falls in love with another boy in the forest, but the boy is actually a girl dressed as a boy so she doesn't get sacrificed to Neptune, but the other boy is ALSO a girl dressed as a boy so SHE doesn't get sacrificed to Neptune, and unbeknownst to them they're both the subject of some Cupid-Venus-Diana god trickery, and in the end both of them are fine with one of them ACTUALLY becoming a boy if it means they can be together forever... is it really gay? Or: a gay romcom in the woods.
